Polyporus umbellatus is a medicinal fungus belonging to the tree flower of the Polyporaceae family of non-fold fungi. The fruit body is large, fleshy, stalked, multi-branched, with round white to light brown caps at the ends, and a cluster of up to 35cm in diameter. The cap is round, the middle part is concave and nearly funnel-shaped, the edge is rolled inward, and it is covered with dark fine scales, 1-4cm wide. The fungus flesh is white, the hole surface is white, and the grass is yellow after drying. The orifices are round or ruptured in an irregular tooth-like shape, extended, with an average of 2-4 per millimeter.
