Chinese green tea is famous for all over the world. Do you know about green tea extract?

Green tea is one of the main teas in China.

Green tea is made from the new leaves or buds of tea plants without fermentation and through the processes of killing, shaping and drying. It retains the natural substances of fresh leaves and contains nutrients such as tea polyphenols, catechins, chlorophyll, caffeine, amino acids and vitamins. Regular drinking of green tea can preventing cancer, reducing fat and losing weight, and reducing nicotine damage to smokers.

The effective components of green tea extract are tea polyphenols, which also known as antioxidant and vitamin polyphenols. Tea polyphenols are a class of polyhydroxy compounds contained in tea, referred to as TP. The main chemical components are catechins (flavanols), flavonoids and flavonols, anthocyanins, phenolic acids and phenolic acids, polymeric phenols and other compounds. Catechins are the main components of tea polyphenols, accounting for 65% ~ 80% of the total amount of tea polyphenols. Catechins mainly include catechin (EC), epigallocatechin (EGC), catechin gallate (ECG) and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG).

Tea polyphenols have strong antioxidant effect. Catechin monomer EGCG is its main antioxidant component, and its reducibility is even 100 times that of l-isoascorbic acid. Tea polyphenols not only have antioxidant effect, but also have antibacterial and antiseptic effects ,which can absorb the peculiar smell in food, so it has a certain deodorization effect and protect the pigment in food. It can not only play the role of natural pigment, but also prevent food discoloration; tea polyphenols can also inhibit the formation and accumulation of nitrite.

The main effects of tea polyphenols are as follows:

Firstly, it has the effect of anti lipid peroxidation and preventing aging. Tea polyphenols can inhibit lipoxygenase and lipid peroxidation in skin mitochondria, so it has anti-aging effect.

Secondly, it has antidote effect on heavy metal salt and alkaloid poisoning. Tea polyphenols have strong adsorption on heavy metals and can form complexes with heavy metals to produce precipitation, which is conducive to reducing the toxic effect of heavy metals on human body.

Thirdly, it has the effect of preventing radiation injury and reducing the adverse reactions of radiotherapy. Tea polyphenols and their oxidation products have excellent anti radiation function, so they can absorb radioactive substances and prevent their diffusion in human body.

Also, it owns the function of preventing caries and removing halitosis. Tea polyphenols can kill lactic acid bacteria and other dental caries bacteria in the tooth gap, inhibiting the activity of glucose polymerase and effectively interrupting the formation of dental caries.

Then, it is helpful for our digestion. Tea polyphenols can enhance the peristalsis of digestive tract and prevent the occurrence of digestive organ diseases.

Lastly, importantly, tea polyphenols are conntribute to beauty and skin care. It is a water-soluble substance. Washing your face with it can remove the greasiness of your face, astringe pores, disinfecting, sterilizing, resisting skin aging, and reducing the damage to your skin caused by ultraviolet radiation in sunlight.
